We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and well-presented individual to provide a friendly and efficient telephone and reception service with the key aim of ensuring customers, visitors, members etc. receive a professional and warm welcome.

As receptionist, you should have a ‘can do attitude’, be flexible and proactive together with excellent communication skills.


  • To provide a reception service to the public; greeting visitors and answering the phone, ensuring the highest standard of customer care at all times
  • To liaise with the Society and ensure a weekly visitor list is kept up to date
  • To monitor the main entrance of the building ensure visitors are duly signed in and out as well as being issues with a visitors pass
  • Ensure visitors are fully aware of all aspects of health and safety as well as the fire evacuation procedure
  • Open, stamp and distribute incoming post to the appropriate personnel on a daily basis
  • Responsible for preparing all outgoing mail on a daily basis
  • Assist with the booking of meeting rooms, travel and accommodation as and when required
  • Raise purchase orders for all goods and services that pass through reception


Skills and Experience

  • Previous reception experience is necessary
  • Professional and proficient customer service
  • Smart dress code
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Good command of the English language (written and verbal)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Positive, confident and professional attitude
