Be organised and enjoy the festive holidays without worrying about whether you will find the right venue for your events in 2018.

Our rooms range from historical and classic through to ultra-modern. There are 10 rooms in total available for hire and our magnificent roof terrace overlooking Hyde Park is also available for that special occasion. Our classic rooms retain their original, ornate and elegant features, whilst our modern rooms provide the latest state of the art audio visual facilities. All rooms have air conditioning and heating so they are available all year round. Whatever your requirements we have a room to suit.

Let us explore the house from lower ground to third floor, taking in all the rooms for you to book 2018 events at 2017 prices.

Lower Ground Floor:

Airbus Business Suite – Broughton, Filton and Toulouse Rooms

The lower ground floor houses the Airbus Business Suite, a modern addition to the house which was transformed at the beginning of 2015. There are three meeting rooms, an education room with computers for research, and a lounge area for informal meetings. The meeting rooms can accommodate between 2-12 guests and are cost effective. They offer modern surroundings for smaller meetings throughout the year.

Ground Floor:

Bill Boeing Theatre

The Bill Boeing Lecture theatre is the largest space in the house and a blank canvas for conferences (offering the latest AV equipment) and private dining. The room has free seating, allowing for numerous types of set ups, for up to 250 guests. It recently hosted a lecture with Astronaut Tim Peake, a dinner and dance for 150 for a corporate client and is the firm favourite for the Society’s famous, annual WOW lecture and dinner.

Marshall of Cambridge Room and Foyer

The recently refurbished Marshall of Cambridge room and foyer create a feeling of luxury and warmth with a stunning fireplace and high ceilings with intricate detail. Suitable for smaller conferences, dinners and receptions for up to 60 guests. It is a very bright and airy room, close to the main entrance of the house.

First Floor:

Argyll Room and Terrace

The Argyll Room and Terrace boasts Edwardian elegance and is one of a small number of central London terraces available for summer parties and BBQs or throughout the year if a marquee is added. Alongside the Argyll Room, the two spaces can host up to 200 for a standing reception. The Argyll Room is also a traditional setting for a seated lunch/dinner or wedding breakfast for up to 120 guests. The unique draw of the terrace with views over Hyde Park, really sets it apart from some many other traditional venues. Whatever the weather this is our most popular space with weddings, dinners and receptions taking place throughout the year, as well as many Christmas parties during the festive season.

Second Floor:

Handley Page Room

The Handley Page room offers a smaller room alternative to the ornate Argyll Room. It has the same elegance and style but it is a suitable size for smaller gatherings. It is an extremely light room and boasts lovely views of Hyde Park.

The room offers convenience and flexibility when used in conjunction with the Sopwith Room as they are just opposite each other and allow business and networking/catering to be had in different areas. Amenities including a Ladies Powder Room are close by.

Sopwith Room

The Sopwith Room is a similar size to the Handley Page Room and has some interesting artwork and images of flight throughout the years. It is a great talking point/conversation starter for guests. It is in keeping with the aviation focus of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

It works well in partnership with the Handley Page Room for more intimate occasions, hosting up to 60 guests.

Third Floor:

Business Lounge

The Business Lounge has lots of natural light and can all host meetings and private dining for smaller numbers of 10 – 40 guests. It is located at the back of the house and has lovely views of Hyde Park. The display cabinet in the room with model aeroplane is of interest to many guests.

As well as the usual boardroom table for meetings it offers a comfortable corner space with a sofa and more relaxed atmosphere for catering breaks or less formal meeting requirements.

Reading Room

The Reading Room is the most recent room to be converted to a meeting room. Brand new artwork and painting of the room gives it clean lines and makes it a very bright space. It is a blank canvas for clients to set up as required. It has recently been used for virtual reality space, as a dining room for 10 VIP guests and a creative, painting workshop space.
